Vancouver Special hosted the first UBC AHVA Alumni Event on Wednesday night. Alumni from the department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory gathered for a special evening with guest speaker Ian Wallace. Thank you all who attended, it was great to see so many friendly faces and meet lots of new ones too. See you at the next one!

We now have a limited number of new Vancouver Special t-shirts for sale at the store! The original type-effect was designed by our friend, the talented filmmaker/musician/east-LA Vancouver transplant Aaron Beckum. Printed on ultra-soft 50/50 American Apparel black shirts. $28 each. There are some excellent architecture lectures coming up this spring… most exciting is the return of Bjarke Ingels to Vancouver, which is not to be missed! Check out the Danish wunderkind’s work at his website: www.big.dk !

Printed on 140lb. cold press watercolour paper, hand-cut and hand-folded. There are 2 designs (Well actually 3 because we added the text “have a very cozy christmas” to the one with the houses), they are packaged individually with craft envelopes for $5 each.
