Why is it Special?
Developed as a tourist destination in the early 1900's by the Union Steamship Company, Bowen Island quickly became on of Vancouver's premier getaways. Today, this picturesque 52 square km island is home to approximately 3,200 residents, and continues to welcome fun seeking vacationers. The design on this colorful indoor/outdoor throw pillow is taken from a 1930s Union Steamship travel brochure. The pillow is made from a soft, but durable indoor/outdoor fabric. The back of the pillow is a coordinating green and yellow striped pattern. From the Museum of Vancouver's Retail Collection and proceeds from the sale go to support the museum.
