The Puff lamp collection is a modern and sculptural take on the traditional rice paper lamp, designed with organic and simple principles in mind.

The Puff lamp collection pays tribute to one of the oldest traditions of lamp making in Asia. Rice paper lampshades have been used for centuries and originally adorned temples. It was also a trip to Japan that triggered the inspiration for the Puff collection, where designer Saskia Huebner saw endless variations of the rice paper lamp. This became the driving force to find the right balance between sculptural play and functional minimalism and resulted in a collection that encourages the arrangement of different voluminous forms in a playful composition. Pouffe is thus suitable for the large hotel lobby, restaurant or the small private room.

The rice paper makes it possible to create enormous volume, without using unnecessary material or creating a heavy and burdensome design. The rice paper provides a natural, warm light, as it gently shields the light source from being too sharp and overexposed. The lamps thus emit a soft light, while at the same time appearing as organic sculptures in the given space.
