Why is it Special?

SCB's publications began with a series of food and drink city maps and apps, and since 2015 we have published a series of architecture and design guide maps. The New York Times describes the maps as "part design manifesto, part urban architecture guide". SCB prints all of their titles on recycled FSC-certified paper with a carbon-neutral printer.

Concrete Montreal Map features remarkable examples of concrete and Brutalist architecture in Montreal. This two-sided, bilingual guide by Professor France Vanlaethem includes a map, original photography by Raphaël Thibodeau, an introduction and details of fifty selected buildings, including celebrated concrete structures such as Habitat 67, Place Bonaventure, Tour de la Bourse, and a selection of Metro stations.

Recently featured in Wallpaper*, Creative Review and Canadian Architect.

Présentant plusieurs exemples remarquables en béton à Montréal, ce guide inclut une carte, des photographies originales, une introduction signée par France Vanlaethem et une cinquantaine d’édifices sélectionnés.
